HOW TO BLOCK UNWANTED EMAILS FROM ENTERING YOUR MAIL BOX

There are so many times you check your email box and discover there are so many unpleasant messages from people you don't even know. To make things worse, these emails are spam, irritating offers and useless newsletters, probably from your various subscriptions on the web or from the forums you've joined. Worst of all, these mails are entirely of no relevance to you and now you can't get to read mails from your friends again! Now you are thinking of closing the email account and opening another one. Don't worry, you don't have to close your email, I'm going to give you some tips on how you can stop those useless mails from trooping into your mail box ok?
With the tips, you can block individual email addresses, or even the entire domain from which you do not want to recieve mails. Ok, let's get started.

For Gmail users

Log into your gmail account

At the top right corner, click on mail settings (if you're on mobile, and cannot see it, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on view html)

under mail settings go to filters, you'll see an option create a new filter, click on it.

in the from field, type the email address which you want to block from sending you mails. For example, you may enter preachers@gmail.com in the from field to block all emails from the address, but if you want to block all the mails from a particular domain, then use this syntax: *@abc.com and all the recieved email from the domain abc will be blocked. where abc can be any email domain e.g. Yahoo, gmail and so on.

Click on the next step and select the exploit you would like to take on the blocked emails. You may choose the option to delete the blocked mails if you wish. if you later change your mind and feel like unblocking the nails, all you need to do is just to delete the filter you made


For yahoo mail users

Log onto your account

At the top-right corner,
click on options

A drop down menu will appear, click on more options

In the left panel, click on the filters options

Next, click on create or edit filters

Click on add

Give a name to your filter, in the From header field, type the email address you'll like to block. E.g. Preachers@gmail.com and if you want to block an entire domain, just type the domain name in this format *@abc.com where abc can be any domain name e.g. Yahoo, hotmail, etc.

Click on the option move the message to trash

Click on Save changes


For Hotmail users

Log into your account

At the top-right corner
click on Options

A drop down menu will
come then click on more options

Click on safe and blocked senders
link under junk email

Now click on Blocked
senders

Type in the e-mail
address that you want to
block under blocked e-mail
address or domain.
For example: Enter any email id@yahoo.com to block
the e-mail address or just
enter xyz.com to block the
entire domain.

Save your settings

Now you're through, those foolish mails are no where to be found, infact, they can't even come into your mail box again! Your mail box is now free and clean!

www.opendns.com on any internet browser on your computer, when the page loads, just choose the "computer" option and follow the instructions displayed on your computer screen. Once your computer is done with the OpenDNS configuration, go to "Dashboard" - > "Settings"
and set the "filtering level" to moderate or high and save the settings.
That's all! It's nothing more than that. Once you are done, when your child clicks a link or deliberately or mistakenly enters an adult content site url into the web browser's address bar, for example, www.whitehouse.com instead of www.whitehouse.gov, OpenDNS filters it and prevents the page from opening

AMAZING GOOGLE TRICKS

Everyone knows how powerful google is for getting information from the web. But as powerful as it is, many people don't seem to know some of it's features and capability as a web tool. These features can make your experience on the web a magical one. With the features, you can get exactly what you want from the web without having to wander about. Funny enough, the tricks to these magical experience are supplied by google itself. With these tricks, you can check the time in any country, get books in any format you like, use google to calculate and convert units, and so on.

Let's quickly uncover some of these tricks, they are so many but I'll just mention a few.

gET THE EXACT TYPE OF FILE YOU NEEd
Take for example you need a book to teach you something like how to read musical notes, how to repair a personal computer and so on, and you have no one to borrow from, you can get them from google and download in any format you like (e.g. Pdf, doc, ppt) to read at anytime you like, all you need to do is to type the "filetype:" the format of file you want, be it pdf, doc, ppt and so on. Below is an example, type the following in the google search bar how to repair a computer filetype:pdf and click on the google search button, you'll see that the search results will be a list of books on the title, "how to repair a computer." once you click on the results, you'll be instructed to choose where you want to save or download the file to.

SCHOLARLY SEARCH
If you want materials that are authentic, from educational institutions like universities and so on and not just anyhow materials, there's another feature known as the scholarly search. All you need to do is to specify like this how to repair a computer filetype:pdf site:edu the results will still be on the title you specified but will be narrowed to those from educational institutions.

MEANING OF ANY WORD

Yes, you can use the google search engine to get the definition of any word you like by just using the define command in the google search bar, here is an example, define:photosynthesis
you may be wondering, can't the dictionary I have do that? Of course it may be able to but is there any trick that can fetch the meaning of words like some sms language e.g. "LOL" or abbreviations e.g. "PDF" or jargons e.g. Web 2.0 from the dictionary? But you can get them with this google trick.

Tunangan, Khitbah, Melamar dalam Islam?

 Istilah tunangan tidak dikenal dalam istilah syariah. Tapi kalau mau dicarikan bentuk yang paling mendekatinya, barangkali yang paling mendekati adalah khitbah, yang artinya meminang. Tetapi tetap saja ada perbedaan asasi antara tunangan dengan khitbah. Paling tidak dari segi aturan pergaulannya. Sebab masyarakat kita biasanya menganggap bahwa pertunangan yang telah terjadi antara sepasang calon pengantin sudah setengah dari menikah. Sehingga seakan ada hukum tidak tertulis bahwa yang sudah bertunangan itu boleh berduaan, berkhalwat berduaan, naik motor berboncengan, makan, jalan-jalan, nonton dan bahkan sampai menginap.

Sedangkan khitbah itu sendiri adalah ajuan lamaran dari pihak calon suami kepada wali calon istri yang intinya mengajak untuk berumah tangga. Khitbah itu sendiri masih harus dijawab iya atau tidak. Bila telah dijawab ia, maka jadilah wanita tersebut sebagai 'makhthubah', atau wanita yang telah resmi dilamar. Secara hukum dia tidak diperkenankan untuk menerima lamaran dari orang lain. Namun hubungan kedua calon itu sendiri tetap sebagai orang asing yang diharamkan berduaan, berkhalwat atau hal-hal yang sejenisnya.

Dalam Islam tidak dikenal istilah setengah halal lantaran sudah dikhitbah. Dan amat besar kesalahan kita ketika menyaksikan pemandangan pasangan yang sudah bertunagan atau sudah berkhitbah, lalu beranggapan bahwa mereka sudah halal melakukan hal-hal layaknya suami istri di depan mata, lantas diam dan membiarkan saja. Apalagi sampai mengatakan, "Ah biar saja, toh mereka sudah bertunangan, kalo terjadi apa-apa, sudah jelas siapa yang harus bertanggung-jawab." Padahal dalam kaca mata syariah, semua itu tetap terlarang untuk dilakukan, bahkan meski sudah bertunangan atau sudah melamar, hingga sampai selesainya akad nikah. Dan hanya masyarakat yang sakit saja yang tega bersikap permisif seperti itu. Padahal apapun yang dilakukan oleh sepasang tunangan, bila tanpa ada ditemani oleh mahram, maka hal itu tidak lain adalah kemungkaran yang nyata. Haram hukumnya hanya mendiamkan saja, apalagi malah memberi semangat kepada keduanya untuk melakukan hal-hal yang telah diharamkan Allah.

Jangan sampai nasib kita seperti nasib bani israil yang telah Allah kutuk lantaran mendiamkan saja kemungkaran besar terjadi di depan mata. Sungguh malang nasih kita bila hal itu sampai terjadi. Telah dila'nati orang-orang kafir dari Bani Israil dengan lisan Daud dan 'Isa putera Maryam. Yang demikian itu, disebabkan mereka durhaka dan selalu melampaui batas. Mereka satu sama lain selalu tidak melarang tindakan munkar yang mereka perbuat. Sesungguhnya amat buruklah apa yang selalu mereka perbuat itu. (QS Al-Maidah: 79)

 

Adab dan tata cara meminang/melamar dalam Islam Menurut Nabi SAW(Wanita melamar laki-laki)

 Melihat calon/ wanita. Melihat yang dimaksudkan disini adalah meliht diri wanita yang ingin dinikahi dengan tetap berpanutan pada aturan syar’i ”Dari Anas bin Malik, ia berkata,”Mughirah bin Syu’bah berkeinginan untuk menikahi seorang perempuan. Lalu rasulullah Saw. Bersabda,”Pergilah untuk melihat perempuan itu karena dengan melihat itu akan memberikan jalan untuk dapat lebih membina kerukunan antara kamu berdua”. Lalu ia melihatnya, kemudian menikahi perempuan itu dan ia menceritakan kerukunannya dengan perempuan itu.(HR. Ibnu Majah: dishohihkan oleh Ibnu Hibban, dan beberap hadits sejenis juga ada misalnya diriwayatkan Oleh Tirmidzi dan Imam Nasai)) 

1. Tidak melamar wanita yang telah dilamar Lelaki lain (meskipun belum memberi jawaban). Meminang/melamar ini berarti melamar secara resmi. Dari Abu Hurairah, Ia berkata,”Rasulullah SAW bersabda,”Seorang lelaki tidak boleh meminang perempuan yang telah dipinang saudaranya”(HR. Ibnu Majah) 
2. Merahasiakan pelamarannya (tidak mengumumkan ke orang banyak) Dari Ummu Salamah ra berkata bahwa Rasulullah SAW bersabda,”Kumandangkanlah pernikahan dan rahasiakanlah peminangan”. 
3. Wanita yang dilamar terbebas dari segala mawani` (pencegah) dari sebuah pernikahan. Misalnya wanita itu sedang menjadi istri seseorang. Atau wanita itu sudah dicerai atau ditinggal mati suaminya, namun masih dalam masa `iddah. Selain itu wanita yang dilamar tidak termasuk dalam daftar orang-orang yang masih menjadi mahram bagi seorang laki-laki. Maka di dalam Islam tidak dikenal ada seorang laki-laki meminang adiknya sendiri, atau ibunya sendiri atau bibinya sendiri. 
4. Wanita melamar laki-laki Secara syar’i tidak masalah. ”Dari Tsabit, ia berkata,”Kami duduk bersama dengan Anas bin Malik yang disebelahnya ada seorang anak perempuannya. Lalu Anas berkata,” datanglah seorang perempuan kepada Nabi SAW, lalu ia menawarkan dirinya kepada beliau, kemudian perempuan itu berkata,”Wahai Rasulullah maukah tuan mengambil diriku? Kemudian anak perempuan Anas menyeletuk,”Betapa tidak malunya perempuan itu!” Lalu Anas menjawab,”Perempuan itu lebih baik daripada kamu”. Ia menginginkan rasulullah, karena itu ia menawarkan dirinya kepada beliau”. (HR. Ibnu Majah). Hal ini menunjukkan betapa hukum Islam sangat menjunjung tinggi hak wanita. Mereka tidak hanya berhak dilamar tetapi juga memiliki hak untuk melamar lelaki yang disukainya.
